1 Timothy 5:1-2
1 Do not rebuke an older man but encourage him as you would a father, younger men as brothers, 2 older women as mothers, younger women as sisters, in all purity.
When I see a beautiful young women, the natural inclination in my flesh is to think about what it would be like to be with her. But if someone were to look at my daughter with lust, I would be angered and protective of her. Yet the reality is that every woman is someone's daughter, or someone's sister. And everyone is God's child. Paul exhorts us to treat "younger women as sisters, in all purity" (verse 2). In other words, be protective rather than predatory.
Lord, help me to see others as you see them, and to protect their purity.
