Acts 13:38-39
38 Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, 39 and by him everyone who believes is freed from everything from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.
While preaching to the people in Antioch, Paul makes the above statement in verses 38-39 that through Jesus our sins are forgiven, which the law was not able to do. This is the good news that we need to hear. For in our hearts we know our sin, and that sin keeps us apart from God. Just knowing the truth of the law is not enough to help us, as we can't just "make" ourselves stop sinning. We can have all the right rules ("the law of Moses" in verse 39), and all the right knowledge and support groups, but it is only through Jesus that we can experience forgiveness. Jesus not only forgives us, but also justifies us, that is, he makes us right before God so that we can approach God with a clean heart and new hope.
Thank you Jesus for redeeming us.
