Philippians 1:3-6
3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. 6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
It is easy to become discouraged with our sin. It can seem like we are stuck, that we repeatedly do the same mistakes over and over. The temptation is to give in to defeat and feel hopeless. But we need to remember that we are not in this battle alone. God is with us, and we should be "sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ"(verse 6). God is not finished with us, and He is not going to give up on us. The God who has the power to create the universe certainly has the power to change my life. That is a truth that we need to rest in.
Lord, thank you for being faithful, and that there is always hope in You.
