Psalm 18:25-28
25 With the merciful you show yourself merciful; with the blameless man you show yourself blameless; 26 with the purified you show yourself pure; and with the crooked you make yourself seem tortuous. 27 For you save a humble people, but the haughty eyes you bring down. 28 For it is you who light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness.
It is interesting how in these verses God appears to mirror our behavior. In verse 26 to "the purified you show yourself pure" but to "the crooked you make yourself seem tortuous". I think this is an example of how we reap what we sow. If we are crooked, we are not going to trust God but instead are going to assume He is manipulative like we are. But if we are pure we are better able to see and believe in God's goodness and purity. We can't compartmentalize our faith from our sexual behavior, as our behavior will influence our view of God.
Heavenly father, help me to be pure and to see Your purity.
