Romans 12:1
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
One thing that is clear from this verse is that God cares about what we do with our bodies. The Christian life is not just about having the right set of beliefs. It is also about what we do with our physical bodies (thus we should "present your bodies as a living sacrifice"). In a sense, there is no separation between the spiritual world and the physical world, for the same God created both. Furthermore, what we do with our bodies can be an act of worship. Worship is more than just singing praise songs, it is giving glory to the Creator of the universe, and one of the ways we can do that is by offering Him our bodies, letting Him have a say in what we do even sexually with our bodies.
Lord, sometimes I think of my body as being unimportant or separate from Your kingdom. But You created my body, so help me to worship You with my body.
