Titus 1:15
15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled.
In the midst of warning Titus about false teachers, Paul makes the interesting statement: "To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure" (verse 15). He is probably thinking of the clean/unclean debates about food that was a big issue among Jewish believers. To Paul it was clear that the food itself was not the issue, but the beliefs in your heart. This can be applied to our sexuality as well. Sex was designed as a pure and holy gift from God, and with the right attitude we can see it that way. But when we view sex through a corrupted lens we get a corrupted picture, and we no longer see the purity in the sex. Instead, anything sexual is pornographic or "naughty".
Heavenly Father, help me to see with Your perspective of purity.
