Proverbs 26:11
11 Like a dog that returns to his vomit is a fool who repeats his folly.
I had a dog, and I have seen him vomit his food, then lick it up again. It is a gross sight, and seems foolish. You would think that he would
know how unpleasant it is and thus stay away. But it is similar to how I repeat my sins. How many times have I stumbled with a sexual fantasy,
state that I will never ever do that again, then go right back to the same fantasy? It is like returning to my vomit, but there is some strange attraction that pulls me back. We need wisdom to see our sin for what it really is, so we don't repeat our folly.
God, forgive me when I repeat my folly.
