Revelation 9:20-21
20 The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk, 21 nor did they repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.
Chapters 8 and 9 detail the various plagues that are unleashed in the last days, and then verse 20 says that those who were not killed "did not repent" of their sins. Verse 21 goes on to say that "nor did they repent of ... their sexual immorality". It is amazing sometimes how we can suffer pain and loss due to our sins, yet still continue in them. This is the mark of an addiction, where we crave the temporary feeling, even though it is killing us. It is easy to shake our heads at those who repeat their sins, but I have the same struggle, of doing what I know is not good for me.
Lord, forgive me for not repenting of my sin. Help me to break the cycle of sin.
